WHAT MAKES OUR COMPREHENSIVE FACIAL REJUVENATION ACUPUNCTURE TREATMENT PROGRAM SPECIAL?

Where others often just insert body and facial needles, which is helpful, it is not comprehensive. I do a comprehensive evaluation on the skin type and have found that most faces have different skin types in different areas, i.e., rosacia on one part of the face (which in Chinese medicine is considered a damp heat condition), and other parts may be dry skin due to yin deficiency.
These areas have to be treated individually with various herbal applications. The special mixtures of Chinese herbs that I am using have about 16 types of herbs in each of them. Because of my 30 years of experience, I have a trained eye that can evaluate complicated skin conditions. On some people, I find it necessary to apply one combination of 16 herbs on one part of the face and a different formulation of 16 herbs on another part of the face. Exfoliation is done with high-quality organic oats, herbs and extracts.

The body needling is not the norm. The points that I work with are extraordinary points and power points of the body. My needling is based on many diagnostic perspectives, resulting in bringing good energy and circulation to the face. This type of needling usually brings the person into a deep state of relaxation where I believe all healing occurs.

The facial needling is also based on a complex diagnostic evaluation. Needles are chosen individually for each treatment, as the person responds and improves. The treatment will bring about a heightened facial awareness, such as tingling, skin tightness and warmth of circulation.

After the facial needling, an herbal masque is applied, also with several high grade Chinese herbs. This creates a soothing sensation to the face, which people really enjoy. I then use a micro tone current and apply a special cream that gets into the deeper layers of the skin. These herbs, proteins, vitamins and enhanced herbal complexes promote a glowing skin tone. The last part of my treatment is something you'll look forward to again and again.

The average course is usually 12 treatments, once weekly, with a monthly maintenance program thereafter. The progress of facial rejuvenation usually becomes more noticeable after the sixth treatment. HISTORY OF FACIAL REJUVENATION ACUPUNCTURE

Chinese medicine has been practiced for almost 5,000 years and has proven to be a powerful healing modality. The Chinese have known that beauty comes from the inside and that by changing the energy flow within the body, healing and rejuvenation naturally occur. The Chinese say that where qi goes, blood flows. Where healthy blood flows, circulation is improved and the body feels and looks better.

It was noted in the International Journal of Clinical Acupuncture, 1996, that 90 percent of 300 cases treated with facial acupuncture had remarkable results with the first treatment. The report said there were fewer wrinkles, greater elasticity and tone of facial muscles.

FACIAL REJUVENATION ACUPUNCTURE VS PLASTIC SURGERY

Facial acupuncture is a less invasive procedure than plastic surgery and has no known side effects or risk of disfigurement. Also there is no extended recovery time or swelling and discoloration, although occasionally some temporary bruising may occur.

If one does choose plastic surgery, acupuncture can enhance the results and reduce the swelling as long as the surgery is without complications. I have worked with many patients who have had severe eye and nose swelling and pain after plastic surgery and have sought acupuncture to relieve these symptoms. The results have been profound.

Non-Needle Facial Rejuvenation
For those that are needle phobic or just prefer no needles in the face, we have a non-needle, modified facial treatment. This includes a Chinese herbal mask, herbal rejuvenation mask, Clarisonic brush treatment to enhance the herbal absorption and microtone.

The microtone will help to rejuvenate the facial muscle and skin tone. This treatment is not as comprhensive as the full version with acupuncture needles, but still is very beneficial.
